About

I am a lifelong photographer with over five decades of hands-on experience in the craft. I began working professionally in photography during my Senior year in High School, building a foundation that spans both the technical and artistic sides of the medium. Early in my career, I spent six years repairing cameras, gaining a deep understanding of the tools behind the image.

My background includes extensive work in product photography using large-format 4×5 view cameras and slide film for a major company, where precision and consistency were paramount. For more than 30 years, I retouched film negatives for professional labs and photographers, refining images to the highest standards long before digital workflows became the norm. I also worked in a variety of studios across several states, adapting to different styles, clients, and production demands.

In 2000, I established my own studio in the Duluth, Minnesota area, where I continue to work today. Photography has been my full-time profession for the past 26 years, guided by experience, craftsmanship, and a respect for the fundamentals of the medium. Every image I create reflects decades of knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality that only time can teach.
